Well, I've moved to Blogger from Xanga.
My previous posts can be found HERE.
I used to be a lot better at keeping a blog, but I haven't touched Xanga in months. I figured I'd start today with a review of Avatar 3D.
Brett took me to see Avatar 3D today and I must say I've come out with mixed reviews. I liked the quality of 3D and enjoyed how clean the 3D was. I however didn't really enjoy the movie as a story. I guess for me the subliminal message about Corporate demolition of the earth and how
'we're killing the earth' was a bit much for me. If it hadn't been in 3D I probably wouldn't have paid to see it in the theatre and even then I doubt it would have ended up on my netflix list. I thought the general plot line was predicatble and didn't need to take 3 hours to tell.
Props go to James Cameron though, he once again has gone above and beyond previously known limits and has set the bar higher for RealD 3D imagery.
I highly recommend you see the movie in 3D for the effects alone... make your own opinion about the story.
Until Next Time,
Sam
